Our Thai traditional pottery vase with hand braided rattan accenting is hand molded and fired in a small kiln multiple times with each layer of paint to create a multi-hue color of terracotta. After the vase has cooled, the exterior is then hand rubbed to give it a natural, mottled appearance. Finally, long thin strips of rattan are hand braided onto the appealing vase for its distinctive accenting.
The handsome oriental vase is available in your choice of Rust (left in picture) and Choc Burgundy (right in picture) and measures 11” tall x 8” at its widest point.
Decorating Tip:
This beautiful vase can be used with dried or live flower arrangements. Its neutral color ensures that it will work with most décor. The decorative vase can set the stage for a grouping of vases or as a stand alone atop a shelf or table to bring out background colors with its use of flowers.
If you wish to use live plants or flowers, you must first place those in a plastic water or glass container and then insert the container into the bamboo vase. It is easy to make a container, just cut the top off a plastic drinking bottle, fill with water and flowers and then insert it into the vase.
As each vase is individually handcrafted, each piece may very slightly in form or color. Flowers or dried flower arrangements are not included in the purchase of the decorative vase.
