This tall, elegant vase which reminisces the shape of the elusive egret bird, was handcrafted by artisans in Southeast Asia, who specialize in the craft of spun bamboo. Bamboo pieces are cut into thin strips, which are then curved around a frame and formed into the shape of the vase. This tall vase is carefully sanded to a smooth finish, and genuine silver leaf is then applied to the entire surface in small square sheets. Lastly, the bamboo vase is coated with color glaze, followed by layers of lacquer for a protective finish. It is the silver leaf underneath the color glaze that gives the vase its deep rich luster, and delicate texture.
Available in your choice of Crimson Red, Natural Silverleaf, or Light Gold. As each vase is individually handcrafted, each piece may vary slightly in form or color.
The beautiful large vase measures 44” tall x 13” diameter at its widest point.
