Standing 4’ tall with its graceful, classical shape, this large floor vase is entirely handcrafted from natural bamboo by artisans in Southeast Asia. The bamboo pieces are cut into thin strips, which are then curved around a frame and formed into the shape of the vase. The large oriental vases are carefully sanded to a smooth curved shape and genuine silver leaf is then applied to the surface in small square sheets. Lastly, the floor vase is finished with several layers of lacquer that give it a deep rich luster.
Unlike polished silver, silver leaf has a softer, pearl colored appearance.
The giant floor vase measures 47" tall by 19" in diameter at its widest point. A spacious area is needed to accommodate this very large vase!
